Virtual reality, as well as augmented reality or mixed reality have proven to be very useful technologies for the cultural heritage sector. We believe they can be useful for the valorization of cultural heritage, and in particular its fruition even at a distance, and at times and moments that show the evolution of the cultural asset over time. Also, in addition to a purpose of dissemination of culture we think they can be very good tools for the education of future architects, but also to educate technicians and professionals who deal with cultural heritage.
In order to achieve these purposes we use the most modern technologies made available by the laboratory, both for capturing and digitizing information that allow the creation of a virtual twin of the cultural good, combined with the use of visors and immersive cameras and the creation of effective storytelling.
