The documentation of the significant degradation of the four prestigious sixteenth-century wooden ceilings of the Ducal Palace in Sabbioneta was carried out with a classic photogrammetric survey and topographic network support. The laser scanner survey of the rooms of the Lions, of the Angel, of the Octagons and the Grappoli (names that describe the depictions on the ceilings) was used for the semi-automatic extraction of a dense mesh of section profiles and for the generation of representations aimed at analysing deformations and disruptions of the wooden structure. The work was commissioned in 2010 by the Municipality of Sabbioneta.
