The exhibition design for the new Roman section is aimed at displaying artifacts found in Mantua at the bishop’s seminary and the Mantuan territory. In particular, a partial reconstruction of a funerary aedicule monument, originally 11 meters high, celebrating the gens Caepia (I B.C.-I A.D.), present in the city of Mantua in the Augustan period, was proposed. This display sought to restore to the museum public what the grandeur of the monument was.
