Biostable takes a systemic approach to developing strategies that enhance the biodiversity of the permanent grasslands in the Mincio Valley. In a setting where the grassland ecosystem coexists with productive farming, the initiative—coordinated by Latteria San Pietro—brings together farms and research institutions to address agronomic, economic, and governance aspects. The grassland system is first explored as a key element of both landscape and biological diversity, and then considered in terms of its relationships within the broader environment. With the aim of reconciling fertile conditions with potential human-driven conflicts, the research outlines a set of strategic measures for the protection, management, and planning of local biodiversity.
